Simple Camping Menus

Camping menus can be simple or you can practice cooking gourmet bush meals depending on your priorities. I usually cook simple easy meals to save time for enjoying the experience. The less time spent cooking the more time you can spend on your adventure.
Then at Dalhousie where we often spend up to a week at a time we have had cooking competitions and cooked up some really elaborate meals on the campfire. I always make up a table like this to plan our meals, then pack the ingredients I need. I always add extra potatoes and vegetables to cook in foil along with biscuits and fruit for snacks. I found if you don't plan your cooking carefully you can spend a lot of time trying to decide what to cook and you will often take too many supplies and end up wasting some of them.
